In 5th grade, I was voted “Most Likely to Go to Mars.” My classmates knew me as the kid obsessed with Star Trek—dreaming of tricorders, transporters, and communicators. I was fascinated by technology that expanded human capability.

That spark lit a lifelong passion to invent the future—creating robots, neurotech, and VR to bridge the gap between science fiction and science fact.

Today I celebrate Star Trek not just for its technological inspiration, but also for its cultural impact and for reminding us what’s possible when we embrace diversity, acceptance, and community.

Here’s to continuing the mission: to boldly go together, to create technology that helps us live healthier, more connected, and more equitable lives.
