National STEM Festival 2025

Creativity, Curiosity, Innovation, Impact, and so much more were on display at the 2025 NationalSTEMFestival in Washington, DC!

With 2,376 in-person attendees at the Public Expo and 709K livestream views, we celebrated students, professionals, and mentors in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics - #STEM.

Some highlights:

πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“ Students from 47 states and 4 US territories presented posters that sounded more like PhD Theses then high school science projects, such as "Post Operative Exertion Detection with Machine Learning" and "Creating a Circular, Machine Learning-Based Platform for Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Change Mitigation"

🎀 The Future Forward SUNY mini-conference with flash talks from folks like Hillary Coe, Chief Design Officer Vast on building a Commercial Space Station and Jennifer Bushman, ED of Fed by Blue on the power of our waterways on food and climate. And an amazing conversation between Kara Branch, (Black Girls Do Engineer Corporation) and Peter S Nzabanita, Engineers Without Borders-East Africa.

❀️ The Mentor Sessions were fantastic! Small group conversations w/ students on The Future of Human-Technology Interaction with my co-Mentor, Bartel Welch, ED of CODE313.

Finally, thanks to National STEM Festival Co-Directors Jenny Buccos and Kari Byron for their vision and incredible hard work making all this possible!
